Have you ever noticed that a master gardener knows how to prepare the soil, what to prune, and when to water? The skill of these gardeners comes from years of training, where they learn the natural laws that govern each type of plant, as well as how to apply these rules properly.

Good governance is like good gardening. It requires adherence to foundational precepts, as well as wisdom, creativity, effort, and a whole lot of patience.

Organizations, like plants, require tender and knowledgeable care in order to grow. Here at the Penrose Chamber of Commerce we strive to provide this loving care within the following structure.

The Penrose Chamber of Commerce is first and foremost governed by its constituting documents. Above all of its policies, plans, and preferences sit its Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws. These are the documents that instruct the Chamber and its leadership about which plot to seed and how to seed it.

The Board of Directors

The Penrose Chamber of Commerce is led by a Board of Directors - a group of committed individuals tasked with making wise decisions on behalf of the members.

The Board of Directors meets monthly on the second Thursday at 6:30pm at the Chamber Office. All are welcome to join!

If you would like to be considered for a Board position, please submit a Nomination Form.

A great deal of the Chamber's work is completed in committee. Committees are open to members and non-members alike. If you have an interest in any of the following committees, let us know!

  • Events Committee

  • Governance Committee

  • Membership Committee

  • Nominations Committee

  • Website Committee

The success of the Penrose Chamber of Commerce is largely dependent on the number of harvesters working in its fields. The various activities, events, services, and programs are only possible because people like you give of their time, talents, and treasures.

It would be an honor to have you work alongside us. If you are interested, please submit a Volunteer Form.
